Marine Corps Sgt. Michael C. Roy, 25, of North Fort Myers, Fla., assigned to the 3rd Marine Special Operations Battalion, Marine Special Operations Advisor Group, Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command at Camp Lejeune, was killed in action on July 8th, 2009 in Nimroz Province, Afghanistan, while supporting combat operations. He is survived by his wife Amy and three children, Michael, Landon and Olivia.
Today is the 236th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. As we did last year, today Evolve will celebrate this birthday with the Hero WOD Roy. We're grateful to all of our soldiers from all branches of the military, and on this day a special thanks to the Evolve Marines: Garcia, Drew, Murph, Griff, Cody, and Donnie. We all appreciate the sacfrifices you and your families have made for us and our familes. Today we work hard for these guys to say thank you!
