In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it “Body Armor”. From here on it will be referred to as “Murph” in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is

Weekly Challenge Number 8!

The weekly challenge for this week will be all about gratitude. We want you to write down 3 things you are grateful or 3 positives for each day. You can do this when you wake up or before you go to bed. Sometimes when we find ourselves in situations that aren’t ideal, like a quarantine, and it’s easy to focus on negative things and things we can’t do so we want to challenge you all to try and change that mindset to start focusing on the good and positive things. Doing this little exercise will help change your frame of mind and help to get you looking at things in a different light. So give it a try and notice if your attitude changes in doing so.

Here is a video from Coach Jonny explaining the workout. This year, “Murph” looks a little different than in years past and that’s ok because this workout is not about us, it’s about them. Remember that while doing this workout whether it’s at the gym or at your home. If you are joining the Zoom class of “Murph”, it will be at 9:15am, hope to see you there!
