Camaraderie in action.

Shared Suffering and Laughter.

“Camaraderie is shared suffering and laughter.”

-Andy Stumpf

As awesome as the workouts are at Evolve, when I look at the picture above, it sums up what happens within our walls better than anything. We put a dozen or so people who only know one another from the gym through a grueling workout, and by the end of it there’s a bond that’s formed. There’s something that happens when you share an experience like that with others. Respect, empathy, understanding, friendship…these are just a few of the things that are enhanced through the shared suffering of a tough workout. It’s what makes this experience special.

If you’re one to book out of the gym immediately after the workout ends, next time consider grabbing a foam roller and spending a little recovery time with some of the folks who you just threw down with. What develops in those moments can be just as powerful as the workout itself.
