Back Squats.
Today you have 15 minutes to build up to three sets of 6 back squats. Some of that 15 minutes will be spent doing “build-up” sets. This is the art of strength work in a limited time window. We need to get to the point where those 3 sets of 6 are challenging, and that takes some build through warm-up sets.
There’s not a great pattern for doing this because we’re all different. Consider giving yourself 3 sets to work up to your first “working set” of 6, which is the first set you’ll count. After that first set, evaluate how it went and ask yourself “should I add weight because it was kind of easy, or should I stick with that same weight because it was just right?” There isn’t a right answer, it just depends. Ask this same question after set 2.
In the end, some will add weight each set, some will stay with the same weight. Both are OK. As long as you’re loading that bar up and you’re challenging yourself, you’re getting what you need!
