Mr. October!
CFEv October Athlete of the Month: Ryan G!
Mr October! Ryan has been with us for over 5 years and we’ve been lucky to have him. This dude has a beard as big as his overhead press numbers, but don’t let that fool you. He’s a gentle giant and a friend of all of us. We all have strengths and weaknesses when it comes to this CrossFit game, and Ryan is no different. It’s pretty easy to tell that one of Ryan’s strengths is moving the barbell…preferably a heavy barbell. But what’s even more important than that is that he shows up on the days that the big dudes might come to avoid: C2B pull-ups, runs, T2Bs, etc. It doesn’t matter what the board says, this dude is there, and it’s something we could all learn from.
One of my favorite things about Mr. October is that he uses his hard earned fitness outside of the gym. I recently got a sweet sunrise pic from him while he was on a hunting trip and the text talked about how all of his work in the gym had paid off big time in the mountains. That’s what this is all about!
Congrats Ryan! Thanks for trusting us these last 5+ years to do what we do and for being a part of it!!
