Inverted skill work!

Two Left Feet.

If you pay attention to the small details, you’ve probably noticed that under today’s workout it says that we’ll be alternating our feet during the split jerk. 99.9% of us have a foot that we prefer to come forward during the split jerk. If you don’t have a favorite yet, chances are you’re still new to the movement and in time, you will have a fave. If you have been to a workout where we alternate the split in the past, you probably remember it well because your dominant side feels great and your off-side feels…..less than great. It’s awkward AF. But there’s value there. We’re not advocating the alternating foot as a standard practice by any means, but throwing it occasionally challenges our nervous system and a well established motor pattern in a unique way. Go into it with an open mind, and remind yourself of what it was like the first time you learned to split jerk!
