Scaling Over Ego.
Today you get a shot at a 2018 Regionals workout. Looking at the RX snatch weight might make you question your life decisions. OK, probably not, but you might say “what the eff, that’s too heavy.” Well, it might be too heavy for you to use today. So now you’re faced with a choice. Bail on the day or check your ego and scale the weight. The first choice sucks. The second choice is better. We get that for many, our ego can get in the way of making smart decisions on scaling that keep us moving well, keep us safe, and allow us to make progress. We’ve ALL been there. I know I have! Sometimes that ego is so strong that it will even allow us to deviate from our training plan and skip the WOD all together. That’s not the approach we’re after, now is it?
Today we’re going to give you some thoughts on how to scale today’s weight so that you can get all you can out of the WOD. We hope that you’ll check that ego, come in, and get in the work today!
