Corina surrounded by her crew, celebrating her success!
The Intangibles.
You can do this by yourself. It’s completely possible. Many of us have a home gym, or at least a handful of heavy things in our garages that we can use to scrape together a great WOD without having to leave the house. And sometimes this is exactly what we need. Just us, our tunes, and some hard work in the garage. It will get the job done.
But as good as that is, it’s missing something. There is no doubt that when you walk through the door of Evolve and you see your friends, and you’re about to all throw down together, that something is special. It’s hard to explain, but you know it’s there. It’s the smile you give during the pre-WOD fist bump. It’s the little tickle in your belly when the clock counts down and the coach bellows 3..2..1..GO! It’s the extra push you get when you’re neck deep with a bunch of other people getting after it just like you are. And it’s the high five you give after the work is done. Or the hoot that everyone yells when someone in the group throws down a time that you can’t believe they pulled off. Or got their first RX WOD. Or finished seconds before the time cap. This is the good shit.
These little things make it what it is. They’re the intangibles and they are as important as the work itself.
