Team All In!
This weekend the Evolve crew in the picture above had the opportunity to participate in the Do More Charity Challenge in Denver. Dave put the team together with the goal of raising money for Project Sanctuary, an organization near and dear to his heart. A fun fact, the combined age of the team had to be 225 years….hence a team stacked with ass kicking ladies and a bunch of old dudes! We had a great weekend but it got even better as it wrapped up. Those teams that finished in the top 10 had additional money donated to their organization that they were raising money for from the event sponsors. Team All In was able to crack the top 10 and earned an additional $2000 for Project Sanctuary!!
Thank you to all of you who supported us with social media likes and #hashtags, by donating, and by purchasing the team tee shirts, which all went to the team’s total to be donated to Project Sanctuary. It means a ton to us, and we know they’ll put that money to good use to help our military families.
Throughout the weekend there were speakers who would talk to the crowd. One of the themes was that in today’s world where things feel so crazy and where so many are focussed on “me” and “what can I get out of it”, it was amazing to see so many CrossFit athletes from all walks come together and raise over $200,000 for a variety of causes! This weekend for sure felt like the early days of CrossFit. We have an amazing community, and as one speaker put so well, it was really great to see everyone “suffer for others”. Well said!
