The CrossFit Quickie

One of the biggest things we learned from the Membership Survey we did a few months back was that many of you would like the opportunity to workout at noon. You also said you had to get it done in an hour. So for those of you looking for a nooner, perhaps a little afternoon delight, we offer you the CrossFit Quickie (so many jokes, we know!)

Starting on Monday March 8th we’ll begin a two month trial of the new time. It will be offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12-12:30 PM. It will continue on this schedule through Friday March 25th. You’ll sign up for it in MindBody just like a regular WOD. The Quickie will be different than regular WODs in a couple of ways. First, it won’t be the same workout as the regular daily WOD. It might be very similar, but will not be the same. The noon WODs have been written to allow for a quick warm-up, a hard workout, and to get you out. To accomplish this, there will be a consistent warm-up for the noon session and it will be on you to get in there and get it done. If you’re late, you’ll have to do what you can. One the warm-up is done, it’s 3 – 2 – 1…Go. There will also rarely be a barbell in the workouts, and when there is, it will be light to reduce the need for a lengthy warm-up. You also won’t see oly lifts, simply because we need to spend time getting warmed up for those technical movements, and with time at a premium we’d be doing you a disservice to include them.

We’re excited to offer this to you guys and hope many of you will find it useful. At the end of the 2 months we’ll look at how often it was used, solicit feedback from those who used it, and go from there. Please hit us up with any questions, and a special thanks to Josh who put this whole thing together. It’s been a lot of work and we think it’s going to be awesome!!!
