Running is often overlooked as a skill. Many see it as a dreadful break in between a bunch of CrossFit movements during a WOD. This is the wrong approach because at the minimum poor technique will lead to inefficiencies in movement, which will make you more tired. At it’s worst, poor running technique will lead to those nagging injuries we hear about so often: shin splint, knee pain, hip pain, etc. Today we’ll go over some technique drills as part of the warm-up. Keep these in mind for the run portion. At the very least it will give you something to focus on to keep your mind off of….well, running!
