Warren G – a staple of the PM WODs since the early days and still going strong!

Check out how some of your your friends are applying their fitness outside of the gym:

Recently Adam and Katie (of the 6am crew for those of you who don’t venture out of bed that early!) went on a heli-ski trip outside of Jackson. Both Adam and Katie are avid skiers. I can always count on an accurate snow report from them when I coach the 6am WODs. In our conversations they’ve mentioned about how they’re able to make lap after lap when they hit the mountains without getting tired or beat up.

It seems that when folks think about CrossFit and being competitive and applying fitness, they think specifically of CrossFit competitions. That’s certainly one application of the fitness you earn, but I will tell you that 80% of our members don’t compete in CrossFit events. What they do, however, is take all the work they do in our box and apply it to mountain biking, climbing, triathlons, endurance runs, adventure races, chasing a couple of toddlers around the house, being cops, being firefighters, being teachers, and anything else you can imagine…including heli-skiing!

Competing is great, and many really enjoy it. However, that’s just a very small part of the big picture. The big picture is kicking ass at life. So when you do something cool that the fitness you’ve gained doing CrossFit helped with, let us know so we can share it with others. You never know, you might just inspire one of your friends to do something awesome themselves!
