Saturday was a huge success. We had 30 athletes throw down what is likely the longest WOD we’ve every had…it took forever to get through that thing. After that we had awards for the best moustache (his and hers) decided by votes cast and the top earner for the Movember fundraiser. Erik won the best men’s ‘stache and JoLynn won the best sister’s ‘stache and received gift cards for their efforts.
Although all the fellas looked really classy with their moustaches, the real reason we did this was to raise money for men’s health including cancer prevention. There was a dead heat in fundraising between Todd S and Adam C. At the end of the month, Todd edged out Adam for the free month with $420 in donations, with Adam bringing in $365. That’s outstanding work by both of those guys! All in all, Evolve raised $1000 online with some additional cash donations collected on Saturday. Really strong work by all, and it made the beers at Black Bottle even more enjoyable, especially since they kicked $1 from each draught to the cause.
Thanks to everyone who participated, we had some fun and you all made a difference this weekend!
