We have some cool news to share with you guys. As you know, Gino and I have always committed to developing coaches from within. Besides Tybo who was with us from day 1, all of your coaches first started as athletes with us and showed us not only their proficiency in the movements we do, but also some of the things that can't be taught – how they treat others around them, how they carry themselves in and out of the gym, and the qualities that though hard to describe are very obvious when you see them. We recieve calls, emails, and resumes regularly from people who want the opportunity to coach you. We feel the process we use is the right one.

Gino and I take our time evaluating who will become coaches with us because of how important it truly is. We look at you guys as family and we want only the best for you. We also look for people who will represent us when we're not there. To say that these decisions aren't taken lightly is an understatement!

We're excited to tell you that we're going to start working with Tracee C and Jeff Smith to bring them on as coaches at Evolve! We started the conversation with Tracee over a year ago. She was actually in our Level I class 4 years ago when we first met her, and after she'd been with us for a while we started talking about this step. Jeff has also been with us for a couple of years and he expressed interest in coaching. Right away we thought he would be great, and we started to move things in that direction. With what's gone on over the past month, there's now a chance to give these two this opportunity and we're excited for them to take this step.

You'll see Tracee and Jeff shadowing WODs with the other coaches, warming up the athletes, talking over and demonstrating skills, and eventually running the entire WOD with a coach at their side. This process is a long one, but it's the way it needs to be to make sure you're in the best hands possible. Please take the time to congratulate both Tracee and Jeff when you see them!
