Hopefully everyone knows by now that the Evolve Christmas Party will be held at Coopersmith's Pool Side on December 5th at 6pm. The other night when we were all out to dinner during the Turkey Challenge, Gino and I had a very important meeting where we discussed very important things, as important people do. The result was a decsision that was very serious, and of course, very important.
Before we get to that, a story needs to be told. Last year we had the Evolve party at the Beach House downtown. A great time was had by all. Well, by almost all. You see, the week before the party, one of your fellow Evolvers had the great idea that everyone should wear an ugly Christmas sweater to the party. Sounded like a great idea. So Gino went out and combed the thrift stores, looking for the perfect thing to wear. He found the perfect sweater thing. He even grabbed me a sweat holiday-themed turtleneck and a green vest that was 2 sizes too small. We looked good. Good and terrible. Low and behold, we get to the party and harldy anyone had dressed the part. To the few that did, we thank you. However, many didn't. Including the person who suggested the whole thing. Can you believe that? No, we couldn't either. Thanks a lot Jeff Smith. Now you all know.
So moving on to the important decision. In an effort to up participation, there will be a stack of index cards, pens, and a bucket. You will all vote for the best ugly Christmas sweater at the party. The votes will be counted and verified. The winner will get a free month at the gym, and 12 months of bragging rights. Time to hit the thrift stores. 3 – 2 – 1…go!
