Hi everyone, I'm the wall in your crossfit gym. As you can see, the guys have patched me up and even put some new paint on me so I look as good as new. I need your help to keep me looking good. Please don't throw weights through me when you stack them. I know it sounds silly to even have to say that, but that's what happened. If one of your friends places them on me, please gently remind them to stack better. You might have to help them. Thank you.
October is breast cancer awareness month, and as always, we'll be doing Barbells for Boobs so mark your calander for Saturday October 20th. More info will be on the way. In the meantime, if you remember, OtterBox donated some pretty cool cases for the Barbell for Boobs participants (thank you Adam and Kristin!). This year Otterbox, who is a huge supporter of breast cancer causes, has a cool event going down here in town and are asking us to help get the word out. Sounds like a pretty fun time. What: “Pretty Manly in Pink” Casting Call/Broncos Tailgate @ BCAM game (Saints @ Broncos)
When: Oct. 2 (afternoon)/Oct. 28 (1 to 6 p.m.)
Where: OtterBox HQ/Invesco Stadium
Why: OtterBox is a major supporter of the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, raising $1.2 million through the sales of its “Pink is Strength” cases this year alone. This October(Breast Cancer Awareness Month), OtterBox plans to educate the public through its “Strength in Numbers” campaign. That’s where you come in. Through its partnership with the Denver Broncos, OtterBox will be tailgating at the Oct. 28 game. We’re looking for a group on manly men to join OtterBox at the tailgate – outfitted in pink, of course – to bring awareness to the cause. We will hold an open “casting call” on Oct. 2 at OtterBox headquarters to find our hunks. This is actually just a way for us to have a little fun with the campaign and create a video to be shared on OtterBox social networks. It will be very informal and probably a little silly.
What’s in it for you? Other than getting to raise awareness for a disease that will be diagnosed in 1 in 8 of us, anyone that comes to the casting call will get a selection of OtterBox cases and gear. Anyone that can join us for the Oct. 28 tailgate at Invesco will be provided with transportation to and from (leaving from central Northern Colorado location), apparel for the event and $25 iTunes gift cards.
