There's been some great questions regarding exactly what foods fall under the category "paleo". You can find a wide range of views throughout the various blogs and books out there. What we often tell people is, just like anything, you can take it as far as you want to. Whatever you decide, the overall goal should be that it's sustainable. If you aren't going to be able to keep it going long term, it's not going to work for you.

I had a great conversation with Juli who runs paleOMG a few weeks ago about this very thing. Check out her post JBs Viewpoint on Paleo. Read it, because it is good. There are a lot of opinions out there as to what is "right". What folks need to understand is what's "right" for one person may not be "right" for you. Or me. Or anyone else! Just because you can read it in a book or on a blog doesn't make it gospel. Unless you read it here, cause then it's legit.

The flow chart below was posted on our FB page. In the strictest sense of eating paleo, this chart is in line, but it's also pretty funny. This is not in any way an endorsement, opinion, recommendation, or anything else, but it may answer some of the questions that are out there. Or it may just make you laugh.
