As most of you know, we just wrapped up another 8 weeks of programming. Some of the new folks might not know this, but at Evolve several of the coaches take turns programming the WODs, skills, and strength work on 8 week cycles. Although we follow CrossFit's theoretical template for programming, the movements, reps, loads, rounds, etc. are all determined by who is programming. One of the key components of CrossFit is that it is constantly varied. By taking turns doing the programming, you get each coach's flavor in the WODs, and that helps give us the variation we need to progress! Another thing that's become common is to throw in 2 weeks of mainsite WODs between cycles. Why? Because crossfit.com is where it all started!All of your coaches started CrossFit by doing mainsite WODs in a globo gym, in a park, at the fire station, or in their garage. It's nice to hit the mainsite every once in a while.
