Anthony got his Level 1 trainer cert this weekend. Great job Anthony!

Alright Evolvers, the majority of you got some experience judging during the Open. We're proud of how well you all did! If that wet your appetite for some more judging, they are looking for folks to help during the Regional event next month. Here's the details:

06.10.11 – 06.12.11

Judges

If you are interested in judging, there is a total of 12 hours of judging training that you must go through prior to the event. These judging practice sessions take place at Front Range CrossFit (please hyperlink www.frontrangecrossfit.com ) on Saturday mornings.

We would love to have you as a judge for the Southwest Regional, but it is a MAJOR time commitment.
This will be the third straight year that we have run the Regional and we want to make this year the best one yet. The backbone of the entire competition is the Judging Team. Our region is known throughout the CrossFit community for running awesome events, with very strict judging. You can help the Southwest Region uphold that great reputation.

Because of the format of the Open, this year strict judging is going to be more important than ever. Here is what is required of you if you choose to be on the Judging Team.

We will have 6 practice judging events on the six Saturdays prior to the Regional Games. There are now four remaining. Those training events will run from 9:00 – Noon, with the final two running from 9:00 – 3:00 PM.. Each training session we will cover standards of movements for different exercises and how best to judge those standards. There is NO substitution for Judging specific training followed up by actual judging experience. At each session we will cover the movement standards involved, then you will judge those standards. After the workout is over we will have a performance review and talk about how to improve. Then we will do it again.

The remaining dates are:

May 14th 9:00 – Noon
May 21st 9:00 – Noon
May 28th 9:00 – 3:00 PM
June 4th 9:00 – 3:00 PM

If this is your first year judging, you will be required to attend three of the four remaining Saturday sessions, with at least one of those sessions being either May 28th or June 4th. (You can do both of those sessions if you wish, but you have to do one of them.)

I know this is a huge commitment for you to make. If you have judged at any of our events in the past, you already know how much fun and how rewarding judging at a CrossFit Event can be. You are right in the heart of the action, seeing the amazing athletic performances from 2 feet away. If this will be your first time, talk to any of our experienced judges. I believe that judging is the best job at the Regional Games.

Please email judges@frontrangecrossfit.com if you can make this commitment.
