One of the things we've heard from many of the athletes who will be participating in the CrossFit Open is having the ability to work on weaknesses that may show up during the 6 weeks of competition. It's true that through our programming things may show up somewhat regularly and others maybe not so much. And just like that, things that were pretty common may seem like they've now been put on hiatus. What do you do if one of your weaknesses hasn't showed up in a skill, strength, or WOD?

In an attempt to address this, Wednesday night will be the first open skills session from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. These sessions will be held twice a week up to the start of the Open. For right now we're going to have to limit these sessions to the athletes who plan on competing in the Open in order to keep it manageable. For those who were not able to make the meeting last week, we want you to come into these sessions with a plan. Have a list of things you need to work on to get yourself as prepared as possible. You'll have coaches there to help you so take advantage of it! Please keep in mind that this won't be used as an opportunity to make up missed WODs, skill sessions, or strength sessions.

The sessions this week are Wednesday and Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. The sessions will be listed in MindBody but no sign-up is necessary so come on out!

  1. Hey everyone, there was some conflicting info in the post. I fixed it but just to be clear, the skill sessions will be Weds. and Friday this week. Sorry for any confusion.
Usually I count on Jill to find these errors! Where’s the help Jill?!

  2. I apologize. My absence in the gym is also carrying over to my absence on the website, but I’ll make an effort to check your work more frequently.
