Gary (we think), Scott, and Jenna kipping their hearts out!
There have been a lot of new faces around the box recently. Welcome to all you new athletes! For a while now we've used dynamic movements for our warm-ups and it seems everyone is happy with it. These movements provide all the things we're after for a warm-up: increased core temperature, raise the heart and repiratory rates, get the nervous system firing, preparation of the body for what we're about to ask it to do, and because it's fun. I mean, come-on, who doesn't love belly sprints?
So below is a great video we posted a while back by Dutch Lowy. It shows him performing many of the movements on the list we pull from each day with some handy text to clarify some important points. Take a careful look and see if the movements you're doing to get warm look like this!
Alright–off topic, but does anybody at Evolve ice climb? Lookin to get out a bit more, and perhaps out to Ouray once or twice. Let me know–jtbarnum@gmail.com
GREAT video Evolvers!! I’d suggest putting this somewhere prominent on the main page easy to find/see.
