U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Severin W. Summers III, 43, of Bentonia, Mississippi, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne), headquartered at Jackson, Mississippi, died August 2, 2009 in Qole Gerdsar, Afghanistan, after his vehicle was struck by a command wire improvised explosive device. Summers is survived by his wife Tammy Fraser and his daughters Jessica, Shelby & Sarah.

Fruit Salad
Simple breakfast this morning (and several of the last mornings)
1 small organic Colorado apple (from Grant CSA share)
2 oz frozen organic blueberries (thaw a little in the microwave)
1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Stir and let set for 10 minutes for the juices to blend then enjoy with a fried egg from pastured chickens at Grant Farms!
