Below is the weekend info from Emerfit. They still have spots open for their throw down on Saturday and Sunday and you can sign-up anytime before noon on Friday. Consider signing up for this event. Chris and his crew have worked hard to make this a fun day, and in true CrossFit fashion, everything is scaleable. If you've ever thought about trying out a CrossFit event, this is a great opportunity in our own back yard open to folks of ALL abilities!

The EmerFit Games are this weekend and you have until noon on Friday to sign-up. We have 22 competitors signed-up so far 14 of whom are women. Way to represent ladies! And guys…well…where are you?

Unlike the CrossFit Games we will not be announcing the workouts in advance but we will give you a couple of hints and a list of stuff we will NOT being doing. Expect to use both your brains and your brawn in one of the weekend’s events. Also, you might see a workout that involves some coordination and accuracy challenges from the wider world of sports, outside of CrossFit. Finally, the EmerFit Games were originally designed to give people a low key opportunity to compete in front of spectators with judges as they prepared for or considered the CrossFit Games. We would like to stay in that vein so do not expect any advanced movements.

You will NOT be doing:

  • Barbell Snatches
  • Barbell Overhead Squats
  • Pull-Ups (Yes, we can compete without doing pull-ups)
  • Rope Climbs
  • Tire Flips
  • Muscle Ups
  • Ring Dips

Anything else will be fair game and we will allow scaling. So if you were hesitating to sign-up because you were worried about any of the movements above rest assured you will not see them in the workouts.

TIME LINE
Friday Noon: Registration closes.  We still have room so talk your
CrossFitting friends into giving it a try.

Sat 8:30AM: Check-In & Warm-Up Opens. Saturday Workouts Posted
Sat 9:30AM: Opening Address

Sat 6:00PM: First Day Results Posted

Sun 8:30AM: Gym Opens and Sunday Workout Posted
Sun 9:30AM: Opening Address
Sun 10:00: Workout #3 Heat #1

SCORING
We will be using the point per position scoring system.  So if you
came in 1st, 3rd, and 7th in the three workouts your final score would
be 11.  Everyone will be ranked by their final score.  Folks you
choose to scale a workout will be grouped in a separate category but
otherwise scored in the same fashion.
