The first day of competition wrapped up in Golden and the picture above sums it up – it was an amazing day. All the athletes were tremendous. We were told at the end of the day that no competitor scaled any workouts, and no competitor missed the cut-off time for the workout. That really says something about the heart of the almost 200 athletes who showed up. It was great to hang out with some other affiliate owners who have helped us out along the way (Amos and Blake at Battle Ready and Allan at Hypoxia to name a few), to catch up with some athletes who we met competing in the regionals last year, and to make some new friends.
When the highlight videos are posted we'll link them, and I encourage everyone to check them out. This was a great event for us. It reaffirmed that what we're trying to create at Evolve is the right thing to do. The CrossFit community was in full effect today and it's exciting to be a part of it as an affiliate owner! Congrats to the Evolve athletes competing as well as to all the other athletes. We saw some remarkable things down there today and can't wait for tomorrow!
